Odi profanum vulgus et arceo
I behold havoc. All that was renowned dethroned
and gods in tauriforms are now lambs
tearing their limbs on their own
(And it was a glimpse on perdition
that engraved their names in their tombs)
Chained for an aeon in chains that were blessed
our foolnes as saviour and our wisdom as pledge
til we see our shadows as gods
for all we have known and all we can see is of fraud
Odi profanum vulgus
I am the venom you carelessly devour
I am the purpose of threat
and I worship not shadows
but chaos and dread
(chaos and dread)
remnants of hope defiled
their marble macerated to sludge
their sculptors shunned the guilt
and chorales roar as they pass
(and chorales roar as they pass)
truth is the irrepressible fire
enlightened on peaks, clearing the groves
but fires and shadows they ́re sealed to each other
at the nadir
and for aeons to come
the turmoil we seek
the psalms that we preach
they were wrongs
all is gone but dross on cold soil
unblemished the filth and the delusion within
And the last remembrance of times of grandeur
are no longer ruins for they turned to dust
When the shackles are loosened
When all shadows fall
we recognise and despise the blind
we frolic on our downfalls dawn
meum regnum adveniat
mea voluntas fiat
et potestas
et chaos
in saecula

Din Of Celestial Birds

Din of Celestial Birds
The plague
it sprouted from bliss
It ́s where this mischief was born
when it awakened it was deaf to the guilt,
to the distress and harm it can cause
yet it is us who were blinded
the falsehood ́s willing prey
trapped and surrounded by mist
unaware of how it appeared
Or - is it a vessel of sainthood?
The purest blossom decayed?
sinking and soaring when its patterns divide
when sobering tides laid a veil upon what ́s unconfessed
That in truth
It ́s a gift of the higher,
a harrowing glimpse of divine
And its our flaw that we spoil it
the reversion of creation commited without any ache
a dissonance
no god could ever foresee
for their aim was of failure
eternally damned
for our flaws are theirs
and damned be the heir...
the heir
that they have passed on me
... that they have passed on me
all that was promised
debris and ashes
„for it is the glory of god to conceal a matter“ [Proverbs 25:2]
for it had its seeds
in inverted tongues
like serpents left to the unknown
that their embrace is not of affection
but it is of harm
yet it ́s us who were blinded
the falsehood ́s willing prey
for when its patterns divide
we see the blossoms decay
and we hear
the Din of celestial birds
as we renounce from blood, bone and flesh
as we reach out for the edge of the abyss
as we strive for fragments to hold on
we ́re yet devastated
exhaled by natures breath
